Hello Hot Friends,
Last week, a New York Times Style article declared the return of the statement bangle, noting that bracelets have become bigger, bolder, and more sculptural. When it comes to the wrist, barely-there bracelets have given way to bold bangles and cuffs—and I couldn't be happier about it.
Bracelets have adorned human wrists for more than 40,000 years. Derived from the Greek word brachile, meaning "of the arm," these accessories evolved from prehistoric bone and shell amulets into symbols of status, protection, and personal expression across cultures and civilizations. Through every era, bracelets and bangles have been worn by both women and men, proving that their appeal is truly timeless.
I've loved bangles and bold bracelets since I was a teenager. To me, few accessories make a stronger statement. I love the way they catch the light and draw the eye, but perhaps most of all, I adore the musical sound that multiple bangles make as you move through the day.
Isn't there something delightful about a woman walking into a room with an armful of bracelets, softly tinkling and tapping against one another? It's confident, expressive, and just a little bit glamorous.
Bracelets remain one of the most personal ways to express individuality, mark important moments, and showcase personal style. And I, for one, am thrilled to see them back in the spotlight.
Here are some favorites from HOT that fit the bill...
