1. Hot Super Sale

The HOTTEST time of the year calls for a HOT sale, don't you agree? I'm excited to share the Hot Super Sale that consists of lots of fun and fabulous jewelry at truly ridiculous prices. I need to make room for new products on the way for next season so I'm discounting everything by a whopping 70%! This would be a great time to stock up on gifts for friends and family or just treat yourself and experiment with different colors, metals, and styles. Don't miss this opportunity!

2. Dressing Cool When It's HOT!

As I have mentioned in the past I know all about dressing for the heat because I lived in Singapore for many years. In order to survive the heat of that island nation you simply must adjust! Singapore is on the equator and has an average daily temperature of 88 degrees with a mind-numbing humidity of around 85%. I incorporated many of the tips below on a daily basis and found them to be life-changing. If you need more ideas go here and here

1. Opt for ethereal and airy ensembles: Go with the latest translucent fabrics and diaphanous layers that give the allusion that you're wearing next to nothing.

2. Embrace natural fabrics: Wear cotton, chambray, and lightweight linen and silk. Give a pass to synthetics that don't breathe.

3. Adjust your makeup: Indulge in lighter colors and textures. Experiment with something new like temperature-sensitive color-changing nail polish that transitions from cool shades indoors to warmer hues outdoors.

4. Resort to retro sun parasols: Elevate your summer style with a touch of vintage charm by carrying a glamorous sun parasol.

5. Rock the power of palazzo pants: Swap your jeans for flowy palazzo pants that not only create a fashion statement but also allow air circulation, making them perfect for surviving the heatwave with panache.

6. Choose UV-protective clothing: Explore the world of chic UV-protective clothing that keeps harmful rays at bay while looking effortlessly fashionable. From swimsuits to cover-ups, you can protect your skin without compromising on style.

7. Try tropical turbans and headwraps: Elevate your summer hair game with colorful and patterned turbans or headwraps. Not only do they protect your hair from the sun, but they also add a splash of vibrant style to your ensemble.

8. Experiment with mesh and cutouts: Incorporate breathable mesh elements and strategic cutouts in your outfits for a contemporary, edgy look that allows ventilation without revealing too much skin.

9. Flaunt Flowing Maxi Dresses: Embrace the carefree vibe of maxi dresses which not only elongate your silhouette but also keep you cool in the heat. Look for breathable fabrics and captivating prints for an eye-catching summer look.

10. Slay with slip dresses: embrace the simplicity and ease of slip dresses that effortlessly skim your body by providing a cooling effect while remaining utterly chic for any summer occasion.

3. Hot Pick - The Slip Dress

You saw it on the list above! Slip dresses are one of the coolest things you can wear when it's brutally hot outside. They just skim the body, are very bare on top, they can be dressed up or down, and anyone can wear one. If you're uncomfortable with the bareness just add a T-shirt or light sweater. Slip dresses, like a lot of fashion from the 90s, have been having a moment. I've chosen some of my favorites for you below:

4. Hot Shops Skims

I know what you're going to say. Skims, isn't that Kim K's company? How can you even begin to recommend it? Well, reader, I tried to resist the siren call of countless social media messages screaming about how great the products are, the fit! the price! the solutions! I started paying attention when stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman began carrying the products and I could check them out in person. I gave in and I was impressed. The T-shirts fit really well and the brand's super lightweight mesh pieces are perfect for this weather!

5. One Hot Movie - Barbie!

The most surprising revelation of the summer was how much I loved the Barbie movie! As a feminist of a certain era I approached the movie with a mix of curiosity and skepticism, although once I heard how much the right-wing hated it, I was in! To my surprise, I found myself captivated and delighted by its empowering narrative. The film defied my expectations, showcasing a strong, independent Barbie who breaks free from stereotypes and challenges societal norms. Director Greta Gerwig directs a pitch-perfect movie that's laugh-out-loud funny and shows deeply how positive representation and progressive storytelling can make a powerful difference. Don't miss this movie!

Stay cool Hotties!

Terry xoxo

P.S. I leave you with this extremely funny take on our very hot planet. Ha!
