Last week I attended the Manhattan Vintage Fair, New York’s iconic showcase of clothing, jewelry, accessories, and textiles from every era. It’s been my go-to for over 25 years, and I’ve watched it evolve from a niche gathering of fashion lovers into a full-on cool-girl event—complete with DJs and viral moments. The world has finally caught up, drawn by sustainability, craftsmanship, and the joy of finding something truly unique.
Dear readers, if you’ve ever been curious about vintage, now’s the moment to dive in. There’s something for everyone—and each piece brings that irresistible je ne sais quoi no new item can match. These are the vintage treasures I can’t stop thinking about:
This lovely vintage multi-media necklace features pearls, coral, sparkly beads and mixed metal chains and it has a stunning silver clasp. It’s a real statement piece!
This black cotton shirt from Dries Van Noten is full of the unique design details that we’ve come to expect from this amazing designer. With a drawstring hem and raffia embellishments in blue across the shoulders, it has a slightly oversized silhouette. In perfect condition and fits sizes 4-8.
Proving there’s nothing new under the sun, these chic double-sided tusk earrings in gunmetal are from the ‘80s. Very cool looking and quite comfortable to wear. For pierced ears.
This special necklace is from star jewelry designer Alexis Bittar. It features a crystals and gemstone embellished hand holding a clear lucite teardrop. Lobster clasp closure, 10” long with 3” extender.
This amazing vintage bracelet is in sterling silver and brown braided leather and features 2 leopards with orange stones for eyes holding a large peridot stone in their mouths. Bracelet is hinged with a clasp closure. Really special and fits a small wrist. Interior diameter of the piece is 2”.
These amazing apple pins, made of faux ivory and embellished with rhinestones, are from the 1960s and were designed by prolific fashion designer and jeweler Nettie Rosenstein. Highly collectible and ultra charming, these fabulous apples will brighten any lapel! Sold as a pair, the large one is 1 1/2” wide and 2” long. The smaller one is 1 1’4” wide and 2” long in great condition. $250 for the pair, but I’m open to selling them separately. Email me if interested.
This head-turning vintage brown leather belt by 1980s jewelry designer Connie Bates features a remarkable sterling silver buckle with brass dots. Large and beautifully sculpted, Its the perfect accessory for those urban cowgirls out there! 2” wide and tapers to a point. Can be worn at the waist or hip. 40” long. A prolific 1980s designer known for her belts as well as her jewelry, Connie Bate’s designs are sculptural and imbued with urban glamour.
